There are 45 inland
lakes in Iosco County covering 12,000 acres. Fifteen have boat launches:
Van Ettan, Jose, Loud Dam, Long, Londo, Cooke Dam Pond, Tawas
Lake, Floyd, Cedar, Round, Sand Lake, Loon, Hale, Chain Lakes and
the Tawas River. Approximately 4,030 acres of surface water
have been created by power dams on the AuSable River with five boat
launches available.
